Synthesis of nonapeptide hydrazide (sequence 93–101), [Thr 107 ]‐decapeptide (sequence 99–108), [Thr 107 ]‐tridecapeptide (sequence 96–108), [Thr 107 ]‐hexadecapeptide (sequence 93–108), [Thr 107 ]‐heptacosapeptide (sequence 82–108), and N α ‐benzyloxycarbonyl‐[Thr 107 ]‐dotetracontapeptide (sequence 67–108) of the proposed primary structure of baker's yeast iso‐1‐cytochrome c are described. Evidence is presented to indicate that these materials are sequentially homogeneous.
