An infrared spectroscopic method of quantitative analysis of dipeptides CH 3 CONHCHR 1 CONHR 2 in solution is proposed. The application of the method to a series of dipeptides with different side chains shows that the amount of the “bent form” tends to become important when the side chain is large.
