DNA nanostructures can be designed to modify with various aptamers, the receptors of which mostly are membrane or transmembrane proteins on target cells. Through the combination with corresponding receptors, these aptamer#x02010;modified DNA nanostructures can enter into the target cells by endocytosis and take their effects with the least risk of side effects. This is reported by Yuxi Zhan, Wenjuan Ma, Yuxin Zhang, Chenchen Mao, Xiaoru Shao, Xueping Xie, and Yunfeng Lin in article 1900094.
