A dual fluorescence reporter system is developed for identifying the functional protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) and quantitatively comparing the efficiency of different genomeediting nucleases in human cells. Cheongsam, a traditional Chinese article of clothing, is composed of “human cells”, which is cut with different “gene scissors (SaCas9, SpCas9 and FnCpf1)”. The authors find that SaCas9 possesses higher activity than SpCas9 or FnCpf1 (marked with a larger gap in Cheongsam). This is reported by Haihua Xie, Lianchao Tang, Xiubin He, Xiexie Liu, Chenchen Zhou, Junjie Liu, Xianglian Ge, Jin Li, Changbao Liu, Junzhao Zhao, Jia Qu, Zongming Song, and Feng Gu in article number 1700561 .
