Human neurotensin receptor type 1 (NTSR1), one of the G‐protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs), is expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae to generate the yeast‐based fluorescent biosensor for detecting the G‐protein signaling activation. By modifying the expression modes of NTSR1 (e.g., promoter, Kozak‐like and secretion signal sequences), the sensitivity of the yeast biosensor is improved, enabling sensing of the agonistic neurotensin and its analogic peptides. This is reported by Hiroki Hashi, Yasuyuki Nakamura, Jun Ishii, and Akihiko Kondo, article number 1700522 .
