Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are widely used in manufacturing glycoprotein biologics and are promising alternatives for manufacturing of therapeutic glycosaminoglycans (e.g., heparin). The therapeutic efficacy and potency of glycoprotein biologics are often dictated by the glycan structures. This cover illustration shows various systems biology advances with respect to glycosylation of therapeutic proteins produced in CHO cells as described by Vijay Tejwani, Mikael R. Andersen, Jong Hyun Nam, and Susan T. Sharfstein, in article number 1700234 . Cover designed by Dr. Vijay Tejwani, Dr. Susan Sharfstein and graphic artist Satish Shinde.
