Logistic growth model can be used to forcast total dry matter at maturity about one month before harvest in wheat and rice whereas forecast of head/panicle weight can be made about 15 days advance of harvest. Total dry matter as well as head weight at maturity were over estimated in general when partial data were used. Modified growth model worked well to adjust for over estimation in total dry matter and head weight at maturity.
