In this note, the distribution of the sum of independent zero‐truncated linear function POISSON random variables is obtained. This distribution conforms, in special cases, to CACOULLOS (1972) and TATE and GOEN (1958). The distribution of the sum of zero‐truncated BOREL‐TANNER type variables is obtained as a special case.
