Estimation of the parameters of a mixture of two rectangular distributions is investigated. The method of moments estimators have been derived and their properties studied. The limiting distribution of these estimators is also derived. Then the maximum likelihood estimators are obtained in some cases and their properties are also studied. Some relevant testing of hypotheses problems in this context are also explored.
