The absorption kinetics of cyclosporine were studied in eight healthy volunteers following oral and intravenous administration. Bioavailability of cyclosporine was observed to be 20±8 ± 5·5 per cent. Absorption of cyclosporine was found to be better described by first order processes rather than by a zero order process as previously reported.
