Recent testimony given to the US Senate by the US National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) regarding the potential of ethanol appears misleading. The statement comes just six months after the House of Representatives passed legislation that would divert billions of dollars in tax breaks and subsidies from oil companies to renewable energy projects. © 2008 Society of Chemical Industry and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd
