Biofuels initiatives that focus on the production of both energy and food are attracting attention as a sustainable route to cutting our reliance on fossil fuels. Anna Jagger highlights two bioenergy and food projects that are being planned in Wales by Orthios Eco Parks, which has developed a cyclical process that combines electricity production from biomass with aquaculture and hydroponics. © 2016 Society of Chemical Industry and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd
