For a single propped excavation wall, different methods of calculation are compared: Girder model with fixed supporting points, non‐linear subgrade reaction and finite‐element‐analysis using hypoplasticity, respectively hypoplasticity with intergranular strain. Main interest of the investigations are the sectional forces, wall displacements and the embedment of the wall foot. The paper closes with recommendations for the use in practice.
