Once you and your board agree about your job description, you're ready to prove you're doing the job right. And that means a lot more than just telling them you're doing things right. You need a strategy to sell yourself to the board. I've seen 20‐page administrator reports to the board that don't prove anything to me other than the fact the executive director spent too much time writing a report. You may think you are covering your backside, but most board members don't have the time to read that much anyway. Here are a few ideas to convince the board you're doing the job.
