In this article we shortly present the basic equations of our 5–dimensional Projective Unified Field Theory and their physical interpretation. Our main intention is to confront this theory with physical experience. For this reason we treat the Einstein effects (including the exact solutions for a central body) in detail. Further we once more discuss the first order effects on the quasi–Newtonian level with respect to the equivalence principle.
