This paper deals with complete analytic solution to the problem of evaluating the total net rate of nuclear energy generation and the basic integral of the luminosity of a purely gaseous star in hydrostatic equilibrium. It is assumed that the total energy production is proportional to certain powers of the density and temperature and that the density inside the star is a nonlinear function varying from the centre to the surface.
