We study the behavior of two‐flavor dense quark matter under the influence of an external magnetic field B in the framework of an extended Nambu‐Jona‐Lasinio model with non‐local and separable interactions. This non‐locality is incorporated in the model by using a Gaussian form factor. We find that within this model there is a decrease of the critical chiral restoration chemical potential for a rather wide range of increasing magnetic fields.
