We present a preliminary analysis of the first three nights of multi‐color photometric data for a γ Doradus‐δ Scuti hybrid star (KIC 6761539) that is also being observed with the Kepler space telescope. We find that up to four (depending on the filter) of the highest amplitude modes, whose frequencies could be determined from Kepler data, are visible from the ground. Our goal is to use the multi‐color information for mode identification, but this will only be possible with a longer time series. A multi‐color photometric multi‐site campaign is currently ongoing for this purpose (© 2012 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
