We report here a computer implementation of a recently developed discrete ordinates methodology for efficiently solving a set of multislab atmospheric radiation problems with an arbitrary number and type of stationary layers. Numerical results are presented for a set of typical problems for a multislab model atmosphere in the shortwave. Copyright © 2006 Royal Meteorological Society
