A model for simulating the life cycle of convective cloud formation through daytime heating over a small island is developed. Resulting precipitation is also simulated. The evolution of the cloud cells is represented as a sequence of stages, with both the main and supporting cells described by attributes whose values change as the atmospheric environment evolves.
