In this study, the problem of fractional‐order ( FO ) output feedback control for FO systems with certain and static uncertain parameters of 0 <  α  < 2 have been investigated. We design a FO output feedback control law which can guarantee the resulting closed‐loop system is stable. In terms of linear matrix inequality, explicit expressions for the desired FO output feedback controller are given. Finally, numerical examples are offered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
