One‐dimensional crystalline channels with well‐defined active metal centers hold great potential as heterogeneous catalysts. Herein, the results of a mechanistic study of photoinduced olefin migration reactions at palladium sites arranged on the channel ceiling of a porous metal‐macrocycle framework are described. Experimental and theoretical studies revealed that the olefin migration was catalyzed via an alkyl mechanism by in situ generated Pd‐H species on the channel ceiling through photoirradiation.
