Metal‐free N 2 activation is predicted to be both thermodynamically and kinetically favorable by using a frustrated Lewis pair combining a methyleneborane unit with a N‐heterocyclic carbene (illustrated by the head and tail of a dragon). This is supported by high‐level coupled cluster calculations. Mechanistic studies reveal that aromaticity plays a crucial role in such a process by stabilizing both the transition state and the product.
