Three new iodoargentates , which were solvothermally prepared by using solvated metal cations as structure‐directing agents, exhibited an ion‐exchange behavior for the adsorption of a specific dye (methylene blue). Furthermore, photocatalytic experiments indicated that these iodoargentates can be considered as promising photocatalysts for the degradation of organic dye pollutants.
