2D porous organic polymer (POP) nanosheets have attracted increasing attention in catalysis, sorption, separation, and other fields. In this paper, Lin Liu, Ping Chen et al. developed an ionothermal method to prepare carbonaceous POP nanosheets from polymerization of aromatic nitrile monomers in molten ZnCl 2 . The combination of well‐defined microporosity and high surface area endowed carbonaceous POP nanosheets with high CO 2 adsorption capacity and excellent CO 2 /N 2 selectivity. The contribution provides a new synthetic route to generate a broad range of microporous polymer nanosheets from different nitrile monomers. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Lin Liu, Ping Chen et al. (DOI: 10.1002/asia.201600396).
