Rotaxanes, composed of cyclic and linear component molecules , undergo facile co‐conformational change caused by nonsynchronous motion of the components. Introduction of a triazole group to the axle component enabled ligation of the rotaxane and a Pt(II) center, and the coordination bond fixed the co‐conformation of the rotaxane, as revealed by a detailed NMR study. The rotaxane functions as an improved ligand as compared to the corresponding axle molecules in spite of a larger steric hindrance.
