Carboxylation Transition metal‐promoted carboxylation of various organic compounds has attracted much attention, and various types of reactions have been reported. In their Full Paper on page 1170 ff. , which is featured on the Back Cover, Nozomi Saito, Zhongdong Sun, and Yoshihiro Sato report on the nickel(0)‐promoted carboxylation of aryl ynol ether that proceed in a highly regioselective manner to produce α‐substituted β‐aryloxyacrylic acid derivatives. Such derivatives could be transformed into the corresponding optically active β‐aryloxypropionic acid derivatives via rhodium‐catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation.
