In a state of disorder : An inorganic supramolecular complex, (Hg 6 P 4 )(CuCl 3 ) 2 , was prepared that undergoes a ferroelectric transition at about 37 K, and its spontaneous polarization was determined to be about 114 μC m −2 in the polycrystalline form using the high‐precision pyroelectric current method. Weak electrostatic supramolecular interactions in 1 lead to the dynamic disorder of ions and ferroelectric transition.
