In a PAR shell : Superparamagnetic core–shell materials with Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle cores and cross‐linked polyaryl (PAR) monolayer shells were fabricated by self‐assembly of enediyne compound monolayers followed by Bergman cyclization‐mediated polymerization. The surface coating with a PAR monolayer was confirmed by TGA, XPS, and Raman analysis. The Fe 3 O 4 @PAR composites display a high saturation magnetization and excellent chemical stability, and moreover exhibit a typical ferrofluidic behavior.
