Recrystallization of 1,2‐dilithiobistannole 1 with [12]‐crown‐4 afforded novel lithocene 2 , which is the first metallocene in which the two cyclopentadienyl (Cp)‐like ligands are directly bonded without any bridging group. The high‐field 7 Li resonance and negative NICS(1) value suggest considerable aromatic character of 2 , while the stannole rings are nonaromatic with CC bond alternation (see scheme).
