The American Rheumatism Association‐its origins, development and maturity

An interesting and accurate history of the American Rheumatism Association has been prepared or the first time by one of its former Presidents who also has served as President of the Ligue Internationale Contre Le Rhumatisme. The author has personal knowledge of the important milestones in the development of the organization and has painstakingly collected significant documents and memorabilia. Chronologic events and personalities relating to the conception, growth, activities and affiliations of the Association are described.
