V. myrtillus extracts were examined both qualitatively and quantitatively by UV‐VIS spectrophotometry and a new RP‐HPLC method. The results and the problems arising from application of these methods for bilberry anthocyanins determination are discussed. The quality and purity of various extracts is compared.
