Twentyseven title compounds were synthesized from (un)substituted benzaldehydes. Their antibacterial and antifungal activities against four pathogenic bacteria and three fungi were investigated. Nine compounds were tested for antiinflammatory and analgesic activities by standard methods. A few of the compounds gave promising results.
