Der Aufbau eines Diazixanopurins ist, ausgehend von 8‐Chlor‐theophyllinderivaten, durch Ringschlußreaktion auf zwei Wegen möglich: nach reduktiver Aminierung eines entsprechenden Ketons oder nach Reduktion eines 3′‐Azidobutyl‐8‐chlortheophyllins.
