Several new aminopyrazolo[1,5— a ]pyrimidines were synthesised by condensation of 3,5‐diamino‐4‐(ethoxycarbonyl)pyrazole (1) with β‐bifunctional reagents. The azo analogues of pyrazolo[1,5— a ]pyrimidines, i. e. pyrazolo[1,4‐ c ]‐ as ‐triazines, were synthesised by coupling of diazotized 1 with agents containing active hydrogen.
