Über Alkylmercapto‐bisalkylsulfon‐ und Trisalkylmercapto‐propane

Mit α‐halogenierten Thioäthern reagieren die Carbanionen 2 von 1,1‐Bisalkylsulfon‐äthanen 1 unter Bildung von 1‐Alkylmercapto‐2,2‐bisalkylsulfon‐propanen 4, deren Oxidation 1,2,2‐Trisalkylsulfon‐propane 7 liefert. Aus Bismethylsulfon‐methan ( 1c ) und Chlormethyl‐methyl‐sulfid kann neben 1,1,3,3‐Tetrakismethylsulfonpropan ( 6a ) 1,3‐Bismethylmercapto‐2,2‐bismethylsulfon‐propan ( 5c ) erhalten werden, dessen Oxidation zu 1,2,2,3‐Tetrakismethylsulfon‐propan ( 8c ) führt. Durch Kondensation von Methylmercapto‐aceton ( 17 ) und Methylmercaptan mit Chlorwasserstoff erhält man 1,2,2‐Trismethylmercapto‐propan ( 15 ), aus α‐Brom‐propionaldehyd‐diäthylacetal ( 21 ) und Methylmercaptan 1,1,2‐Trismethylmercapto‐propan ( 19 ). Ein Gemisch von 15 und 19 entsteht bei der Kondensation von Methoxy‐aceton ( 9 ) und Methylmercaptan mit Chlorwasserstoff.
