In this paper I examine the psychology of “large‐group identity,” its absorbing shared narcissism, its creating a “psychological border,” its relationship to massive traumas at the hand of the “other,” its role in national or international affairs, its raising substantial barriers to peaceful co‐existence between “enemy” groups and describe what is large‐group psychology in its own right.
