The cover image by Seda Ceylan shows an SEM photograph representing cell interaction on H. perforatum oil incorporated membrane scaffold. Immediately after a scaffold is implanted, protein adsorption to its surface occurs, mediating cell adhesion and providing signals to the cell through cell adhesion receptors, mainly integrins. After cell adhering on tissue engineered scaffold, cells are able to release active compounds for signaling, extra‐cellular matrix deposition, cell proliferation and differentiation. In this research study, H. perforatum oil incorporation increased the viability of MEF cells and this membrane can be used for tissue engineering. DOI: 10.1002/app.51385
