Highlighting Research of Yunqi Li's team from Key Laboratory of High‐Performance Synthetic Rubber and Its Composite Materials, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, P. R. China. Quantitative exploration of the uniaxial tensile stress‐strain curves for polyurethane elastomers (PUEs) is far from straight forward, 25 constitutive models were stringently assessed. The image created by Yunqi Li's team at CIAC shows the distribution of mechanical properties and their correlations with composition, processing and measurements for 529 PUE splines through a statistical study. Constitutive models with both the first and the second invariant, in logarithmic or exponential expression for strain perform better. Convergent distributions of parameters for the three best constitutive models were presented, that can directly facilitate the parameter initialization for finite element analysis.
