Based on research by Yintao Wang and colleages, Magnesium hydroxide (MH) nanosheets were utilized to fabricate core‐shell EG@MH flame retardant particles through heterocoagulation method. The figures show SEM and EDS of EG@MH particles. It was observed that after the encapsulation by MH nanosheets, the edges of char residue of EG layer after combustion were sealed which contributed to the enhancement of expandability. The MH shell of EG@MH improved the flame retardancy efficency of EG and enhanced the adhesion between EG and rigid polyurethane foam. According to this research, they believe that this kind of flame retardant will attract more attention in the application of halogen‐free RPUF foams. DOI: 10.1002/app.46749 .
