The image by Tao Chen and colleagues, describes three distribution states of tracer particles under different rotor cross‐sections in continuous mixer. In the upper and lower parts of the image, the tracer particles have been dispersed, stretched and folded into white ribbons. While the tracer particle in the middle part of the image is less dispersed, and un‐stretched particles can be observed in the interaction window, which means the rotor cross‐sections in the upper and lower parts have greater mixing efficiency than that in the middle part. These visualization experiments demonstrate the distribution process will be affected greatly by the geometry configuration of rotor cross‐section DOI: 10.1002/app.46623 .
