Effectively dispersing of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is the key to producing high performance CNTs/poly(aryl ether)s (PAEs) composite materials. Here in this research by Zheng and his colleagues, a series of novel oluble carbazole‐based poly(aryl ether)s with different alkyl side‐chains were synthesized and characterized successfully. Except for their unique characteristics of good mechanical properties and thermostabilities (T g ~ 128–212 °C, T d5% ~ 450–499 °C) as a kind of PAEs, these non‐conjugated polymers show an excellent ability of wrapping and dispersing MWNTs in CHCl3 (238–416 mg/L). This unique property makes these polymers become a promising and ideal type solubilizer for CNTs/PAEs composite. DOI: 10.1002/app.46250 .
