Kaan Bilge, Aycça Ürkmez, Eren Şimşek and Melih Papila present a method for stabilizing the morphology of electrospun polymer nanofibers using high temperature, in situ crosslinking. The crosslinking agents phthalic anhydride and tributylamine were incorporated into the electrospinning styrene and glycidylmethacrylate copolymer solution. The cover shows the crosslinked polymer fibers embedded in an epoxy matrix. The fibrous network and interfacial compatibility were fully maintained despite the high temperature curing.
