Yukang Xu, Chen Huang and Xiangyu Jin produced three polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibers (round filaments, flat filaments and split‐film fibers) from PTFE dispersion powders. Each plays a different role in filtration materials. Generally, the two main parts in filtration materials, the bearing cloth and the nonwoven compact web, are manufactured from flat filaments and split‐film fibers, respectively. Round filaments are used as sewing threads to stabilize the shape. The cover shows photos and SEM images of different PTFE fibers and products. (DOI: 10.1002/app.43553 )
