As a kind of endemic oil tree in China, Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge has high oil content and can be used as bio‐diesel. However, the husk should be utilized to make full use of the resource and decrease the cost to make the bio‐diesel. As the husk has rich celluloses, it is possible to add the husks into thermoplastic resins to develop natural fiber polymer composites. Xu‐Dan Yao, Dong‐Yan Liu, and Guo‐Xin Sui prepare different fiber surface treatments to improve the interactions between the natural fibers and polypropylene. The cover shows the inside of a Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge husk. DOI: 10.1002/app.41217
