The growth factors of recombinant human bone morphogenetic proteins (rhBMP‐2) are an area with considerable promise as a bone graft substitute. However, despite its excellent result of bone formation, many concerns still exist for its short biological half‐life, rapid local clearance, and propensity for side effects. Thus, continued research has focused on the optimization of carriers for both structural supports and delivery efficacy. Yuanyuan Hu, Jing Wang, Wanli Xing, Lingyan Cao, and Changsheng Liu present a delivery system which has good mechanical strength, suits for carrying rhBMP‐2, and is easy to be cut into desirable shapes after forming. The cover shows the original cylindrical moldable scaffold before compression. DOI: 10.1002/app.40951
