A series of aromatic copolyesters P‐BPAx derived from hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA), 6‐hydroxy‐2‐naphthoic acid (HNA), bisphenol A (BPA), and terephthalic acid (TA) are synthesized via melt polymerization by Peng Wei, Miko Cakmak, Yuwei Chen, Xinhang Wang, Yanping Wang, and Yimin Wang. Using BPA units as the kinked monomer, they obtain a product with a suitable processing temperature and high glass transition temperature, study the influence of BPA units on the properties of the hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA)/HNA copolymer, and estimate the processability of the polymer through a rheology study. The cover shows a polarizing optical photomicrograph of copolyesters. DOI: 10.1002/app.40487
