The high generation rate of plastic packaging disposal, compared to the material recycling rate, highlights the need for applications of recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). This has attracted interest in the use of renewable raw materials, such as sisal fibers and plasticizers like tributyl citrate. In this study, Rachel Passos de Oliveira Santos et al. prepare bio‐based composites from recycled PET and sisal fibers via a thermopressing process. These materials have potential application in nonstructural parts of automotive vehicles and civil construction, among other possibilities. The cover shows a scanning electron microscopy of sisal fibers used in this study. DOI: 10.1002/app.40386
