Nanocomposites of polypropylene and graphene nanoplatelets are synthesized by in situ polymerization in liquid monomer in the presence of highly effective isospecific homogeneous metallocene catalyst, as presented by Sergey V. Polschikov, Polina M. Nedorezova, Alla N. Klyamkina, Anton A. Kovalchuk, Alexander M. Aladyshev, Alexander N. Shchegolikhin, Vitaliy G. Shevchenko, and Vyacheslav E. Muradyan on page 904 . Comparison of SEM data with mechanical and dielectric properties of the composites indicates that graphene nanoplatelets in the composite are thin flaky particles aggregates, with aspect ratios affected by sonication of the reaction mixture.
