The cover shows a scanning electron microscope image of a thermoresponsive poly(methyl 2‐isobutyramidoacrylate) hydrogel freeze‐dried from the equilibrium swollen state below the volume phase transition temperature (19 °C), as presented on page 34 by Yoshihiko Tezuka and Hitoshi Tanaka. The complicated structures with curled ribbons and flakes are formed by sublimation of water from expanded networks of hydrophilic polymer chains. In the deswollen state above the volume phase transition temperature, the hydrogel forms a sponge‐like macroporous structure, which accounts for its high temperature response and good repetition durability.
